Anona Brewer Perkins, 72, of Clay Springs, Arizona, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at her home.
She was born on March 4, 1951 in Snowflake, Arizona to Gerald Petersen Brewer and Flossie Lewis Brewer.
She was the youngest of 15 children. She spent part of her childhood in Pinedale, Arizona until the family moved to Colbran, Colorado to run a ranch. They moved back to Pinedale in time for her to attend and graduate high school at Snowflake.
She married her sweetheart, Allan Dale Perkins, on July 17, 1970 after he returned from Vietnam. They were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She and Allan built their home in Clay Springs on the family ranch where they have lived for 50 years. She is a loving mother of 8 children. She spent her early married years as a homemaker, working at gardening, cooking, canning, and caring for her family as well as many others.
In her later years, she enjoyed going anywhere with Allan, especially when they went on road trips, fishing trips, to antique stores, thrift stores, swap meets, wearing silver and turquoise jewelry, and eating at Taco Bell.
She loved her Savior Jesus Christ, her husband, her family, her cats, and serving others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald & Flossie Brewer, her brothers, Gerald, Everett, Hubert, Eddie, and Billy; Sisters Edith, Carla, and Josephine; her daughter Anona, and her son Mark.
She is survived by her husband (Allan Perkins), sons Matthew (Mary), Darrell (Tanjala), Weston (Teressa); daughters Annette (Marty), Sharilyn (Micah), and Janelle (Nathan). Brothers Wayne, Neil, and Marshall; Sisters Marilyn, Annie, and her twin sister Iona; 26 grand-children and 1 great grandchild.
She will be missed!
