Braddon Roger Cherry, known to family and friends as Brad, passed away on March 26, 2026, in Springerville, Arizona, at the age of 45.

Brad was born on June 5, 1980, in Farmington, New Mexico, and lived a life marked by hard work, creativity, and a deep love for the people and things that mattered most to him. He carried himself with a practical spirit and a generous heart, and those who knew him will remember him as a handy, loving, and intelligent man who could always be counted on to figure things out and get the job done.

Brad spent much of his life working in construction, where he earned the respect of coworkers, customers, and neighbors alike. He was a longtime construction worker who helped build many, many homes throughout the White Mountains. His craftsmanship and dedication were evident in the homes he helped create, and he took pride in building structures that would stand strong for years to come. For a few years, he held his contractor’s license, a reflection of both his skill and the trust others placed in him. Long before the phrase “tiny homes” became widely known, Brad was already building them, showing the kind of forward-thinking ability and resourcefulness that came naturally to him.

Brad was especially gifted with anything mechanical. He loved working on vehicles and had a remarkable talent for making them as fast and fun as possible. He was highly skilled in auto body work and could take something worn or damaged and bring it back to life with care and precision. Over the years, he owned several ATVs and dirt bikes, and he always seemed to have some kind of off-road or fun vehicle nearby. Whether he was in the garage, out on the trail, or talking through a project, Brad found joy in engines, tools, and the satisfaction of making something perform better than before.

Music was another important part of Brad’s life. He was an excellent guitar player and appreciated a wide variety of music. His love of music reflected the many sides of his personality, from thoughtful and steady to energetic and adventurous. He had a way of bringing enthusiasm to the things he loved, and that spirit was felt by those around him.

Brad was born into a loving family and remained deeply connected to them throughout his life. He is survived by his father, Roger; his mother, Cindy; and his brothers, Kellen, Derrick, and Chance. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kara. Family meant a great deal to Brad, and the bonds he shared with his loved ones were an important part of his life. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was to those who knew him best.

Those who knew Brad will remember his strong work ethic, his mechanical talent, and his ability to turn an idea into something real and useful. He was the kind of person who could tackle a difficult project, solve a problem, or lend a hand without hesitation. He had a straightforward nature, a warm presence, and a quiet way of showing care through action. His life was one of usefulness, skill, and devotion, and he leaves behind a legacy of hard work and love.

Brad’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the homes he helped build, the vehicles he brought to life, the music he played, and the many lives he touched along the way. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

A viewing will be held at Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor, AZ on Friday April 17, 2026 from 5-7 pm with a Graveside Service on April 18, 2026 at 11 am at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor, AZ.
