Born on August 26, 1944, to Ruby Mae Edge and Ernest Leroy McHone, in Greenville, South Carolina, Hobo Dan's life was a remarkable journey that left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered.

Hobo Dan's love for reading was only matched by his passion for music. A gifted guitarist and songwriter, he composed melodies and lyrics that captured the essence of his experiences and the souls of the kind individuals he met during his time on the road.
