Carmelita Childs

Carmelita P. Child entered into rest on May 14th, 2024, unexpectedly but surrounded by loved ones in Show Low, Arizona. Carmelita was born August 12th, 1933, to her parents Theodore Peaches and Bertha Josay.

Carmelita loved to cook, she was a camping, fishing outdoor grandma. She attended Assembly of God Church and Cibecue Christian Church. She enjoyed singing and helping anyone in need. She was a very funny person with a whole lot of crazy funny stories and trips.

Carmelita is survived by her son, Chris Childs Jr.; daughter, Gina Childs; Twins, Gillespie Childs Jr., and Giles Childs; numerous grandkids, great grandkids, great - great grandkids and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gillespie Childs Sr.; parents, Bertha Josay and Theodore Peaches; sisters, Rupee Danford, Nannie Quay, Darlene Tessay, Lena Peaches; and brother, Leander Peaches.
