Carol Ann Fleck was born on November 20, 1944, in an unwed mother’s home in Biddeford Maine. She was adopted by a couple from New York shortly after her birth.
Growing up, she had no siblings. As a child, Carol took ballet lessons and her love for dancing started early. Carol graduated from high school in Brooklyn. After graduation, she danced professionally in lounges in the New York area.
Carol was married three times but never had children. She loved traveling the country, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and continuing to dance socially. One of her marriages brought her to Arizona in the 1970s. There she met Ken and Marie Mosier and went to work for them in their golf club/restaurant. Carol was an exceptional cook. As the Mosiers aged and became ill, she cared for them until the death of Ken in 1996 and Marie in 2003.
Carol was interested in arts and crafts, was an avid reader, especially of history, and was known for her annual Christmas party. In her last years, she enjoyed making Christmas packages for her friends at the Senior Center, the Post Office, and the shops in Overgaard, all of whom meant so much to her.
Carol passed away at her home in Overgaard on May 3, 2022. She will be cremated and her cremains sent to northern Michigan, where Ken was born and his niece resides.
