Obituary

Catherine Tointigh Entered Eternal Rest on June 6th, 2023, at her home in Canyon Day, Arizona surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Canyon Day, Arizona on April 19th, 1947, to Annie & Julius Armstrong. Catherine, known as “Vena”, to her family, was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was married to her loving husband Jimmie Tointigh Sr. for 52 years and was known for being a very kind woman to everyone she knew.

Catherine is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jimmie Tointigh Sr.; one daughter, Olivia Tointigh, four sons; Warren Tointigh, Jimmie Tointigh Jr., Henry Tointigh and Jimmie Ray Tointigh, 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Wyleen “Lynn” Tointigh, parents; Annie Declay Armstrong and Julius Armstrong, brother; Billy Joe Armstrong, 1 great-grandson; Kimitrius Gatewood.

Services for Catherine will begin with a one-night Wake on Monday June 12th, 2023, at 10:00 am, located at 4701 S. 8th St. Canyon Day, Arizona with a funeral service to follow on Tuesday June 13th, at 1:00 pm, at the Canyon Day Miracle Church with interment at the Canyon Day Cemetery.
