Charlene Hatten Obituary

Charlene Roberta Hatten, a spirited soul who painted life's canvas with the vibrant colors of love, laughter, and a touch of mischief, went home to the Lord, on October 5, 2025. Born in the quaint town of Buckeye, Arizona, on January 23, 1942, Charlene's zest for life was as boundless as the desert sky.

Her laughter was infectious, and her smile could light up the dimmest hospital room. After all, she was a nurse, and not just any nurse. Charlene earned her nursing degree with the same passion she put into every aspect of her life, and she spent her career as an RN at Navapache Hospital in Show Low, Arizona, and later, providing comfort as a hospice nurse in Northeastern Arizona.

Charlene's interests were as colorful as her personality. She had a knack for portrait painting, capturing the essence of family and friends with every stroke of her brush. Her portraits weren't just pictures; they were stories told in oil and canvas, with each subject's personality shining through as vividly as if they were telling a story themselves. Fishing with her family was another of Charlene's passions. She loved telling the story about the one that’s hanging on her wall.

In her later years, dementia may have tried to cloud her memories, but it never touched her spirit. Even as her mind wandered, her wit never lost its way. She continued to deliver one-liners and quips that left her caregivers chuckling and shaking their heads in amusement.

Charlene passed away in Snowflake, Arizona, but the joy she brought to the world remains as a testament to a life well-lived. Her legacy is not one of sorrow, but of joy, laughter, and the unbreakable bond of love she shared with all who knew her. Her final goodbye may have come, but the encore of her influence will play on in the hearts of those she touched. May your laughter echo through the heavens, bringing smiles to the angels as you surely did here on earth, and may you enjoy your new adventures with the love of your life Bobby Hatten.

Charlene was survived by her sister Jany Burnett, her son Robert Hatten (Barbara) and her daughter Roxanne Clevenger (Brent) and her Son-In-Law Richard McPherson. She has eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be on October 17th at 3:00pm at Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor, Arizona.
