Connee Nielsen Jackson was born and raised in St. Johns, Arizona. She attended elementary school and high school there. In 1961 she was crowned “Miss Apache County” and competed in the “Miss Arizona Pageant.” She later attended ASU where she met and later married her eternal companion, Howard Jackson, Sr. in August of 1963 and they celebrated 61 years together earlier this year. Connee and Howard were blessed with 9 children, 36 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Connee loved music and often shared her talents in her church callings and participated in many community events singing and playing the piano and organ.
Connee loved the Lord and her family. She exhibited Christ-like qualities throughout her life and it could be seen in her countenance when she smiled. She was gentle, patient and kind and did things with determination which helped her endure to the end.
She is preceded in death by a son, 2 grandsons, her mother, father and 2 brothers. What a beautiful reunion they must be having. All is well.
The funeral services for Connee will take place on Friday December 27th at 11 am at the St. Johns Downtown Chapel in St. Johns, AZ. There will a viewing prior at 10am. She will then be laid to rest in the St. Johns Cemetary in St. Johns, AZ.
