In loving memory of our father, David Wayne Kenton who passed away on September 14, 2023. He was the devoted husband of the late Julie Kenton and loving father of Janel, Lillian, Sarah, Camera, Nona and Lia. A devoted grandfather to Samuel and Addison Kenton. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
One of the kindest, selfless, and most humble souls on this planet, our father was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage.
David was born on February 15, 1968, to Larry and Marjorie Kenton in Long Beach, California. He is the brother to Duane Kenton. After graduating from Bell High School in 1986, he went on to study at Northern Arizona University where he met his wife, Julie. He took an interest in cooking and went on to pursue a career as a chef. He worked in various kitchens, and his most recent calling took him to Hon-Dah Casino where he devoted 15+ years.
Early in our lives, our father lost his companion and even through this difficult time he was always there for us. He exhibited resilience and strength like no other and shared this with his daughters. No road or task was ever too tough to face, and he made us aware of this. Whether we needed help with a project, finding a last-minute dress for a dance or just a shoulder to cry on he was there. He was a man of strong tradition, and he taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right.
Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to. A graveside funeral service will be held at Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery on September 21, 2023, at 11:00am in Taylor, Az. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
Father, you are now at peace, but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Your heart has always been strong, even till the end. Rest in peace.
