Donald Jene Barker, born on August 3, 1942, in Sisseton, South Dakota, lost his courageous battle with cancer on June 26, 2024, in Canyon Day, Arizona. Where he passed peacefully surrounded by family.
Donald is survived by his children: Russell (Rolanda) Barker, Ronald Barker, and Donna Barker; his brothers Tony Barker, Gordie Robertson, Glen Robertson; and his sister Paula Robertson-Renville. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Corte Lee Altaha and three sisters-in-law: Deloria Lee, Kathy Ethelbah, and Virginia Altaha.
His memory lives on through his four grandchildren: Joshua (Lillian) Barker, Jade (Robinson) Henry, Dondre (Dovanna) Barker, and Marciano Truax, along with three great-grandchildren, Four Traditional God Daughters: Sammye Prins, Cleo Duane, Maritta Riley, Tia Ivins. God Daughter, Bethany Robertson & God Son, Tucker Robertson. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life ceremony and luncheon will take place at his residence in Canyon Day. July 27, 2024 at 11:00am.
