Gianna Prendin, friend to many, went home to our Father in Heaven on Monday, April 6, 2026. She passed peacefully, surrounded by friends she came to know as family. Born in Saccolongo, Italy on May 10, 1946, she learned the value of hard work when she was young, and continued working until just months before passing away. By the age of 14, Gianna had already become a capable seamstress helping to support her family. Though life was not always kind to Gianna, she found a way to laugh and keep a playful attitude through the good times and the bad - sometimes with the assistance of colorful language, known only to those who understood Italian four-letter words. She made her way to the United States in the final decades of her life where she established herself as an able and “Quick Tailor,” which is what she aptly named her business. Many people from around the White Mountains and I-40 Corridor appreciated her expert skill and ability with a needle and thread. She loved the people she met and introduced them all to her dear Chihuahua: “Lola.” Whether working in her shop, on a walk with Lola in a baby stroller, or sitting in church, Gianna looked for happiness and friendship sharing a smile with everyone. We in the Snowflake community will miss her tailoring prowess, but we will sincerely miss our thoughtful Italian sister. We love you Gianna, and know your are now safely back in the arms of our Father and Heaven and Jesus Christ.
