Glenn Shippee Obituary

Glenn Edward Shippee, a beacon of intelligence, creativity, and adventure, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, in Maricopa, Arizona. Born on December 11, 1952, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Glenn's early years were marked by a curious mind and an indomitable spirit, qualities that would define his entire life.

Glenn was the son of Edward and Eleanor Shippee.  He was a dedicated family man, deeply in love with his wife, Marianne Shippee, with whom he shared a beautiful life journey. Together, they raised their son, Devon Shippee, who, along with his wife Brittany Shippee, brought joy into Glenn's life. Glenn's role as a grandfather to Ella and Caroline Shippee was one of his most cherished, as he bestowed upon them the wonders of his knowledge and the warmth of his love.

Education was a cornerstone of Glenn's life. His pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Arizona, where he earned a PhD in Psychology. This achievement was not only a personal milestone but also a testament to his belief in the power of education to change lives.

Glenn’s professional life was as varied as it was distinguished. He began his career as a teacher, sharing his passion for learning with his students. His intellectual curiosity then propelled him into the field of market research. Glenn finished his work life as an economist. Glenn's colleagues revered him for his sharp mind and his ability to unravel the most complex of problems.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Glenn was a sports enthusiast, following the local Diamondbacks and Coyotes and maintaining a lifelong fandom of the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed the thrill of the game, whether he was on the field or cheering from the stands. His love for the outdoors was apparent in his enjoyment of hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and indulge in the spirit of adventure that so defined him
