Guthrie John Burton

Guthrie John Burton passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on February 24, 2026, in Chandler, AZ. Guthrie was born on March 30, 1983, in Mesa, AZ to David and Jana Burton.

Guthrie was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission in Nashville, TN. Guthrie enjoyed camping, watching movies, playing games with his family, and reading. Historical novels about WW2 were his favorite. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Theresa of 20 years and their children Steven, David, and Julie. His mom Jana and siblings Shanon (Dane) Snover, Josh (Amanda) Burton, Tanner Burton,Rolley Burton, and Mazie Burton, along with several nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his father David Burton and his nephew Karson.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday March 14, 2026, at 11 am at the LDS Stake Center on Main Street in Snowflake, AZ with a viewing at 10 am. Interment will follow at the R.V. “Mike” Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, AZ.
