Gwen Goodman Obituary

Gwen Goodman was born June 9, 1934, in Vernon, Apache, AZ to Alvin Ezra Goodman and Bertha Rothlisberger. She left this earthly life peacefully on March 31, 2025, in Snowflake, Navajo, AZ with her daughter at her side. She was the second child born of 7 children to Alvin and Bertha. She is survived by her sister Patsy Seymore of Santan Valley, her daughter Teri L. Crook (Rodney-deceased) of Taylor, her sons Tod Adair (Toni) of Taylor, AZ, Clate (Stephanie) of North Carolina. She has 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her two sons Dirk Adair and Shayle Adair, her great-great granddaughter Brytli Yates, her son-in-law Rodney Crook, her parents and 5 siblings, a grandson Chet Adair, along with other nieces and nephews and family members.

Gwen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a stalwart member and had a very strong testimony of Jesus Christ. She held many callings in the church, from Primary to Sunday School, to Relief Society, to Family History Specialist, to Young Women’s. She served a mission for the church at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. She took many college classes to better herself and help her raise her 5 children as a singer mother for many years. She was a great mother and provider. We never lacked for anything. She lived in many places in her lifetime, but her two favorite places were at the old Goodman Sawmill where she grew up part of her young life. The Goodman Sawmill doesn’t exist anymore. Her second favorite places were in Utah and Idaho. She loved it there.

We all will truly miss her. We love you Mom.

The family will hold a Memorial Service for her at a later date.
