Irene Moody

Irene Moody, 83, passed away peacefully in the early hours on February 17, 2024, in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona lovingly surrounded by family at her side. She was born on March 1, 1940, in Chino Springs, Arizona on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation to Arizona (Aday) Moody and Irving Moody. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and three brothers (Samuel Nantan, Casey Moody, & Willis Moody, Sr.).

Irene leaves behind two daughters Serena Lavender and Rebecca Kessay, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She also helped raise her brother’s children: Leon Moody, Stuart Moody and the late Eileen (Missy) Lee.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 23 at 10:00 AM at the East Fork Grace of God Church followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will proceed at the Dove Street Cemetery in Upper East Fork.
