Ivan George DeCordova Forrester born September 12, 1951 was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a fervent servant and disciple of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

He was a true patriarch to his family. A guiding light who led by example. We could learn so much from his devotion to his faith, family, and perpetual learning. He was blessed with a wonderful temperament that brought a sense of peace into the lives of those who were lucky enough to be around him. He was contemplative, soft spoken, patient, wise, loving, and humble.

George was dedicated to a life of continual learning and could often be found with a book. He was a construction engineer by trade and spent his working years on constructions sites, however, after retiring he spent his time pursuing his true passions. History, geography, and religion.

He loved his family and found joy in the success of his children. He was so proud of their individual accomplishments, careers, and their families. His grandchildren were his greatest treasure. He loved to see their interests and personalities develop as they grew.

George passed unexpectedly Saturday May 16th just two weeks after meeting his newest grand child Ethan Matias Forrester. He leaves behind his loving partner of 38 years, Sophia Forrester, and their five children and their families. Jonathan, his wife Karen and their two children, Analy and Tiago. Ryan his wife Leiny, and their son Ethan. Andrew and his fiance Michelle. Christina and her husband Isileli and their son Veni. Ivanna and her husband Ryan and their daughter Yara.

Though our hearts mourn the loss of our patriarch and true anchor of our family we find comfort in the truth of the everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that we will see our dad again in our Fathers kingdom. Surly he will be waiting for us in the library, learning all the new secrets that have been revealed to him in the next life.

There will be a public viewing on Thursday June 4, 2026 from 6-8 pm at Silver Creek Mortuary, 745 Papermill Rd Taylor, AZ 85939

Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 5, 2026 at 10 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Pioneer Park Chapel, 421 N Main St. Snowflake, AZ 85937
