Jana Chapman Turley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at the age of 74. She was born on August 9, 1951 in Logan, UT, to Fullmer and LaDonna Chapman. Jana was the oldest of 6 children: Edward Chapman, Adele Chapman, Phillip Chapman (Denette), Curtis Chapman, Joel Chapman (Suzanne). She spent most of her youth in Chandler and graduated from Chandler High School.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Curtis.

Jana married Lowell Vern Turley, on June 6, 1971, and together they built a family rooted in love, faith, and resilience. She is survived by her husband Vern, and her five children, Dan Turley (Evvie), Ray Turley (Hallie), Robin Christensen (Nathan), Dawn Hancock (Wyatt), and Tandy Hulsey (Dalon) and 16 grandchildren.

Jana’s life was defined by service to others. Whether she was offering a listening ear, preparing a meal, or showing up exactly when someone needed her, she had a gift for making people feel seen and supported. Her gentle presence and steady compassion will be deeply missed.

Jana was a Pre-K teacher specializing in speech and reading. Her students were her second family. She loved music and dancing. She served in multiple church callings to include her favorite of primary chorister. She was a master seamstress and loved quilt-making.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and quiet strength that will continue to guide those who knew her.

Services

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Pioneer Stake Center at 175 W 9th S St Snowflake, AZ 85937. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at the Mike Ramsey Cemetery in Snowflake.
