Jeanie Porter

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanie Porter, who left us on January 29, 2026.  Born on May 26, 1951, Jeanie was a cherished daughter of Hal and Bertha Porter and a loving sister to Martha Brooks and Carolyn Rice.  Raised in Holbrook, AZ, Jeanie graduated from Holbrook High School before continuing her education at Eastern Arizona College and the University of Arizona.  She was a lifelong learner who took pride in her academic achievements.  
Jeanie’s life was filled with hobbies and activities that brought her immense joy.  She had a passion for square dancing, painting, creating beautiful stained glass pieces and shopping.  Jeanie also loved traveling and cherished the time spent with family and friends, especially loved nieces, nephews and their children.  Additionally, Jeanie adored her dogs, who brought her joy and happiness.  Her working years included jobs with Holbrook High School, Contel, ADOT, and CPS.  
A graveside service will be held on Saturday February 7, 2026 at Show Low AZ Cemetery.  A viewing will take place at 1:00 pm, followed by the graveside ceremony at 1:30 pm.  We invite all who knew and loved Jeanie to join us in celebrating her remarkable life and bid a fond farewell to a wonderful person who touched so many hearts.
