John Charles Walker Obituary

John Charles Walker passed away on February 2, 2023, while in a long-term care facility for his Alzheimer’s/Dementia. He was born on August 17, 1945, to Lucy & Robert Stilts. Lucy remarried Cecil Herman Walker in 1954 and John was legally adopted, and his name changed to Walker. John did a stint in the US Navy and later was a Plumber for many years but, being a cowboy, city life was not for him. After marrying Elma Loretta Wilson, they moved up to the Snowflake area in Eastern Arizona. They lived there until John was no longer able to take care of Elma or the property due to an onset of Alzheimer’s and was placed in a long-term memory care facility there in Snowflake. He is survived by his wife Elma, his two brothers, Mark Walker (Wisconsin) and Cecil Walker (Chandler, AZ), 2 sons (John & Bill), and 1 daughter (Jamie). John is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild!

He was the only true cowboy I ever knew…
