Johnnie Spires Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Johnnie "John" Spires, who peacefully passed away on March 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Spires, and his daughters, Jammie Lynn Chandler Faries and Judy Black. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Spires; his daughters, Louise Copp and Johnnie Lynn Spires; and his sons, Billy John Spires and Gordon Holcomb. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him, each carrying forward his strength, values, and love.

He was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to providing for his family. Through his work in landscaping, he built not only beautiful spaces but a lasting legacy of dedication, pride, and craftsmanship. He also held a deep love for the community he served, taking pride in contributing to the places and people around him. He found his greatest joy in simple, meaningful moments—spending time outside with his wife, his children, grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. His strength, love, and steady presence created a foundation that will live on in each of them.

He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered for the love he gave so freely. During this difficult time, his family finds comfort in the overwhelming love and support from the community, a reflection of the many lives he touched. His greatest legacy lives on in the family he built, the values he instilled, and the love that will continue to grow for generations to come.
