Julie Greer

Julie Greer met her Beloved Savior Jesus on September 29, 2024. Julie was born to Herb and Barb Carlson in Cherokee, Iowa in 1953 and moved with her family of six to Phoenix as a teenager. She met the love of her life, Chris Greer, in Winslow where they were quickly married and served a mission trip for the Catholic Church in British Columbia for two years before moving to Tuba City. Chris worked as a PE teacher at the boarding school and Julie raised their children and worked part-time in the school system. After 12 years, Julie and Chris returned to Winslow where she served the broader Little Colorado River Community as a social worker at Winslow Memorial Hospital for 20 years. After retiring, Julie and Chris moved to Snowflake. She touched many lives in all the places God sent her and will be deeply missed. Julie is survived by Chris, her husband and soulmate of 49 years, her brother Greg Carlson, her son Paul, daughter Geri, and many beautiful grandchildren. Julie loved many things in this life, especially enjoying nature and her family, but most of all, she loved spending time with Our Lord in prayer and sharing her faith with others. A memorial mass will be held on October 9, at 11:00 AM with reception to follow at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake.
