Leon Meeks entered into rest and went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2022, at his home in Snowflake, Arizona, He was born on August 26, 1939, to Samuel Meeks and Amy Tarpley in Gainesville, Texas.
Leon is survived by his wife, Jessie Rae Meeks (Butler); they were married on January 5, 1974; siblings, Warren Wayne Meeks (Idaho), Betty Lou Morison, Billy Dean Meeks and Ronnie Dale Meeks (Texas); children, Ricky Daniel Meeks and Wanita Lopez (Jerry); thirteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by parents, Samuel Charles & Amy Lou; brothers, William Donald and Samuel Charles (S.C.) Meeks, twins; son, Randy Leon Meeks; and grandson, Jerry G. Lopez.
