Linda Mae Chavez

Linda Mae Chavez of Whiteriver, entered eternal rest on June 8th, 2022, in Flagstaff, Arizona. Linda was born in Fort Apache, Arizona on March 13th, 1945, to Salina and Thomas Alsenay. Linda loved the outdoors, hunting with her sweetheart Fred, fishing, “always catching the biggest fish”. She enjoyed sewing, reading and her daily meditation. She especially loved being a great grandmother and organizing family get togethers and being there for others. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Linda is survived by her dear Husband Fred Chavez, her daughters- Sammye Prins (Tyrone Young) & Marie Garcia. Her son- Ryan K. Chavez, grandchildren- Sheridan Kinney, Skyler Prins, Genna Nosie, Matthew Tenijieth, Shade Tenijieth, Roman Chavez, Layla Tenijieth, great-grandchildren- Azalea Kinney, Kristina Pacheco, Morius Croker, Giyren Prins, Irie Yazzie, Tracy Yazzie, Tracy Yazzie, Ellie Tinijieth- Traditional grand-daughters- Feather Rae, Tanaya Garcia, Miranda Dehose.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Salina and Thomas Alsenay, her son Conrad Chavez, daughter, Suzette Garcia, and grandson Giriaya Prins.

Services were as follows: Viewing and Wake- Saturday June 11th, 2022, from 7-8 am at the East Fork Lutheran Mission Chapel with a service that followed. Interment was at 10 am in the Whiteriver Cemetery, Whiteriver, Arizona.
