Lucille Nelson Ellsworth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at her daughter's home in Taylor, Arizona.
Lucille was born on December 14,1927 in Yuma , Arizona to Earl D. Nelson and Stella Nelson. Her childhood was spent in Yuma and Tucson. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona. Lucille then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Southwest Indian Mission. Her mission was a very special part of her life.
Lucille and her eternal companion , Edward Ellsworth were sealed in the Mesa, AZ Temple on December 26, 1950. She was a gifted teacher and taught school in Safford, AZ, where she and Edward made their home and raised their family.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Nelson and Stella Post Nelson, her sister Virginia Green, her husband Edward Ellsworth, her son Martin Ellsworth and her granddaughter Capri Ellsworth.
She is survived by 4 loving children; Kent (LaRee), Jean, Michael (Adrienne) Korth (M'Lu), daughter-in-law Holly Ellsworth; eleven grandchildren, Cori, Chani, Dane, Casi, Marisa, Chance, Cole, Audrey, Britt, M'Kayla, Grady, and 15 great grandchildren.
Lucille leaves a legacy of complete and unconditional faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and her deep love of family.
Services for Lucille will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Centennial Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints , 880 N. Centennial Blvd, Taylor, AZ. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 9:00-9:45 am.
Burial will be in the Show Low Cemetery, Show Low, AZ
