Michael Roth Obituary

Service Zoom Link Michael Arthur Roth passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born in Blue Island, Il on October 17, 1952.  Raised in Kingman, AZ, he excelled at sports, playing both baseball and basketball.  Mike attended Eastern Arizona College on a Baseball scholarship in 1972 where he met his loving wife, Evelynn. They married and settled in Taylor, AZ in July 1973 and were married for over 50 years.

After college Mike played Softball and was an outstanding first baseman who could also hit the seams off the ball.  One of his greatest joys was coaching little league, softball, and heckling an Umpire or 2.

Mike worked at the Paper Mill in Snowflake, AZ for over 40 years and was an avid outdoorsman who spent his free time doing taxidermy, trapping, hunting, and fishing.  In 1986 he became a Fishing Guide at Lees Ferry, which he loved most of all and was able to enjoy for over 35 years.  Mike had a gift for storytelling and will be remembered for his laughter and abundance of fishing and baseball stories.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Dolores.  He is survived by his wife Evelynn, brother Steve (Teresa), 5 children: Brandon (Amanda), Ramey (Donna), Dustin (Jennifer), Megan (Pat) and Skyler (Nicole); and 10 grandchildren.
