He was known for his willingness to serve—never waiting to be asked, but stepping in wherever help was needed. He and his eternal companion, Vanessa, are faithful temple attenders and that became their favorite way to spend their Friday mornings. They loved to see the sun rise through the temple windows. He enjoyed watching his children grow in their faith and testimony.

He completed four years of active duty and two years of inactive service. His service including a deployment to Iraq in 2005 during Operation Iraqi Freedom shortly after the birth of his son, Luke. He achieved the rank of Sergeant and was awarded numerous honors, including the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendations, Certificate of Appreciation, Rifle Expert Badge, and Pistol Sharpshooter Badge. His military training, including Tan Belt, Gray Belt, Small Arms Repair, and the Sergeant’s Program. This laid the foundation for his career as a skilled gunsmith when he earned an Associate degree in Applied Science for gunsmithing at Yavapai Community College. In 2008 he started his business, Patriot Precision LLC where he was very successful building long range rifles. He helped all those he came in contact with to have a love for long range distance hunting. He built many rifles which are proudly owned all over the country.
