Newton Thompson Jr.

Newton Thompson Jr. went to be with the Lord surrounded by loved ones on December 2nd, 2023, in Whiteriver, Arizona. Newton was born February 28th, 1963, to his parents Newton and Ethel Thompson Sr.  Newton loved being around his grandkids. He worked 20+years at Hon-Dah Casino. He loved to go on joy rides and going on the backroads, he also loved fishing. He is survived by his wife, Joanna Thompson; Son, Norwyn Thompson; Daughter, Kiana Thompson; Stepdaughters, Norcine (Ellison) Skidmore-Thompson, Fernanda (Joseph) Crockers, Selena Caddo, Faith Wycliffe-Nashio; Brothers, Lonnie Thompson, Elton (LeeNette) Thompson; Sisters, Noleen Hoskie and Collene Jackson; Godson, Michaelson Hill and 18 Grandchildren many cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and extended relatives. Preceded in Death by Son, Newton Thompson III; Stepson, Jeremiha James; Mother, Ethel Thompson; Father, Newton Thompson Sr. A one-night wake will be held in his honor on Thursday December 7th, 2023, at 10am at 514 Tumbleweed Lane in Canyon Day. His funeral service will be on Friday December 8th, 2023, at 1pm at the Canyon Day Miracle Church. Interment will follow at the Canyon Day Cemetery.
