Pearlena D. Bush

Pearlena D. Bush, entered eternal rest, while surrounded by loved ones, on Aug. 14, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ.  She was born on Dec. 20, 1990 to parents Anthony Bush and Paulena Brunette.  Pearl enjoyed helping family with cooking at large family gatherings.  She liked to listen to Reggae music and todays top hits.  She also liked to draw and play basketball with her kids. Pearl was also into doing hair, especially braiding.  She was funny and always made family and friends laugh.  Pearl was there if you needed help and encouragement.  She was very thoughtful and kind.

She is survived by her children Makilyn M. Riley, Joemiah V. Riley, Jo’Keio V. Riley, by her mother and stepfather Telbert Burnette Sr. and Paulena Brunette, by her brothers Nathaniel Bush and Telbert Burnette Jr., by uncles and aunts, many cousins and her companion Virgilsen Joe Riley.

Pearlena was preceded in death by her brother Kay Joey Bonito, by her father Anthony Bush and her father’s side grandmother Violet Bush, by grandfather David Bush, by her grandfather from her mother’s side Paul Declay Sr., by grandmother Dolly Clarkson Declay, by her uncles Paul Declay Jr., Jeris Declay, Stephan Declay Sr., Serrano Declay, Matthew Declay, Donnie Declay, by her cousins Fernando Declay, Jonathan Begay and Elvis Declay.

A funeral will be held in her honor on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 10am at the Assembly of God Church, Whiteriver, AZ.  Interment will follow at the Whiteriver Cemetery.
