Peggie Josephine Johnson

Born on December 1, 1928, in Mesa, Arizona. Passed away February 29, 2024, in Lakeside, Arizona. Peggie graduated from Mesa High School, and married John W. “Jack” Johnson on August 3, 1946. Mother of seven: Dan (deceased), Fred, Carl, Mel, Steve, Wiley (deceased), and Sandy.

 Survived by 35 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, 36 great, great grandchildren and 9 fifth generation grandchildren.

Peggie lived in Mesa in her younger years. She worked at the only telephone company, Mountain Bell. They lived in Lehi, raised the six boys that graduated from Westwood High. Sandy graduated from Snowflake High.

They moved to Taylor, Arizona, where they ranched and operated a Feed Store for seven years.

They moved to Juneau, Alaska, and lived for six years. Mom worked for Alascom Communications before returning to Taylor, Arizona. She lived there until Jack passed away in 2007.

She moved back to Mesa and lived with Mel for 17 years. Finally moving to Solterra Senior Living in Lakeside, Arizona, June of 2023, where she peacefully passed away on February 29, 2024.
