Ralph Staley Obituary

Ralph Everett Staley was born July 5, 1941 in Arkansas City, Kansas. He passed away April 28, 2025 in Show Low, Arizona.

Married to his favorite girl Naoma Lines on November 18th 1967; Survived by his wife of 57 years, and six children: Lester, Jennifer, Amie, Everett, Leah, and Loran. Preceded in death by one child, Aaron. He was blessed with ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ralph had many loves in his life. He was active in scouting  for 50 years and earned the Silver Beaver Award. Teaching gun safety classes for fourteen years. Active in his church and served in many positions. He was most recently a temple worker.

He loved going on family road trips. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Trains, guns, Civil War history and WWII history were some of his favorite hobbies. He loved his country and the Constitution, and was a true Patriot. He served six years in the National Guard.

He was famous in the community for his humorous song “Pine Tree.” He sang it on many occasions. He worked 37 years at the Papermill in Snowflake as a journeyman millwright and he loved it!

He loved working with wood and was very good at carpentry and built many things, even his own casket. He had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed people and could talk to anyone.

His family was his most prized Love of his life and we will sorely miss him.

Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Father, Grandfather and Friend. Rest in Peace.

There will be a public viewing at Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor, AZ on May 1st from 6pm - 8pm and a Graveside Service on May 2 at 2pm the R.V. Mike Ramsay Cemetery in Snowflake, AZ.
