Randy Classay Sr. was a cowboy. First as a bull rider, then a team roper. You could always find him at local jackpots or the next rodeo. As his rodeoing days came to an end, he found throwing horseshoes. For the last several years you could find him at horseshoe tournaments. He also loved playing basketball, coaching basketball and watching basketball. He was the proud father of a 1993 2A state basketball champion and now proud grandfather of a 2022 3A girls state basketball champion. We can’t forget the Dallas Cowboys. He was a great fan of his favorite football team. Randy supported his family from a young age. Right out of high school he began working at the Fort Apache Timber Company. First as a planer, then stacker, forklift driver and then a chip truck driver. He retired along with many during his closure. He made many acquaintances and friends throughout his lifetime. His greatest achievement was raising his four kids and their families. Creating a stable home for all of the kids to call grandpa’s. He loved every one of his family members and all the kids were always welcomed.
