Raymond Ronald “Ron” Reeves entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by family and closest friends on August 22, 2025, in Taylor, Arizona, He was born on December 13, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, to loving parents, Betty Lou Williams and Raymond Robert Reeves.
Ron grew up on the west side of Phoenix and graduated from West High School. Ron was very talented with his hands and built cabinets and furniture after learning how in wood shop in high school. He also took on a lawn business while waiting to get on with Southwest Gas where he worked on a utility truck until he retired after 31 years.
This led Ron to a whole new journey-retirement. Ron was known for his great sense of humor, his smile and charisma. He had many passions-providing for his family and friends, serving meant giving a pie to everyone he knew hoping to make their day! He soon became the pie man.
Ron’s faith was also the center of who he was. He served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints always showing his devotion not just in words. Ron touched countless lives with his compassion, guidance and friendship. More than anything Ron leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and community that his family and loved ones will carry forward in his honor.
Ron found joy in the outdoors, whether camping under the stars, mountain biking on a trail, or casting a line on a quiet morning. Those moments embodied his adventurous spirit and his love of nature.
Ron is survived by his children; Carrieanne Elizabeth Reeves (Crump), Tood Randall Reeves; his sister, Katherine Jarrett; his brother, Robert R. Reeves (Leslie); his nieces, Katelynn Peterson (Christopher), Tori Jarrett; his nephews, Harrison Reeves, Tag Reeves; his great niece, Madalynn Paige Marrs; his cousins, Stephen Clifford, Edward Clifford. Ron also is survived by his dogs, Books and Smitty, who miss him already.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lou Williams, and his father, Raymond R. Reeves.
