Richard "Jim" Tomerlin

Richard “Jim” Tomerlin, 76 years of age, passed on Friday, July 19, 2024 in Show Low, AZ surrounded by his loved ones.

Jim was born January 28, 1948 in Morenci, AZ to the late Pat and Virginia Tomerlin. He was the third of four children; his sister preceded him in death. In his early years, Jim attended school in Morenci. He continued his schooling and graduated from Duncan High. Jim also attended Eastern Arizona College.

Jim met his eternal companion, Leslie Gardner, at EAC and they were married April 22,1969. They were blessed with five children. Jim held many church callings and was very active in the Boy Scouting Program. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 55 years, 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and with 2 great-grandbabies on the way. 

Visitation Friday August 2, 2024, at the Show Low Stake Center from 5 to 7 pm.  Another viewing will be held on Saturday August 3, 2024, at the Duncan Stake Center at 10 am.  The service will follow at 11 am and interment at the Duncan Cemetery in Duncan Cemetery.
