Richard "Rick" Farnsworth Obituary

Richard Barr Farnsworth “Rick” passed away on April 25, 2021, in Goodyear, Arizona. Rick was born in Snowflake, Arizona, at the Snowflake Hospital on August 7, 1946. He is the son of Ivan “C” Farnsworth and Ila Butler.

He graduated from Snowflake Union High School. After graduation, he served as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and labored in the Central States Mission headquartered in Independence, Missouri.

He married Hilda Lee Neff in the Mesa Arizona Temple on June 15, 1968. Together they had two sons: Nathan Wade and Stuart Allen (Jenny) Farnsworth. He is the grandfather of Kayla, Jessica, and Breanna (Wade) and S. Ryan, Claire, Braden, and Darren (Stuart) and is survived by each.

The vast majority of Rick and Hilda’s lives were spent in Arizona, Except for 14 years in Missouri. One of his greatest joys was serving in the House of the Lord, which he did in Temples in Mesa, Oklahoma City, and St. Louis.

Rick’s burial will be at 2:00pm on Friday April 30, 2021, at the Shumway Cemetery in Shumway, Arizona.
