Surrounded by family with humble acceptance of God’s will, Robert Wagner Suttle Jr., 67, went to be with the Lord in the early morning of November 11, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona, after an unexpected illness. He was born to Robert J. Suttle Sr. and Elise E. Suttle on July 02, 1954. He spent his childhood in Whiteriver with family. He attended Whiteriver Elementary, Whiteriver Jr. High, Phoenix Indian, Alchesay High School. He retired from the White Mountain Apache Enterprise in 2018 after working for 42 years.
Robert was humble, quiet, and strong in his faith in his Savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ. The simplest pleasures in life brought immense joy to Robert. He loved a quiet time of joy riding, boating, and a time for reflection at the family homestead in Firebox Canyon. He was a devoted husband, father, and member of the Riverside Church.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joanna N. Suttle; children, Roberta Suttle, Ryneldi Toggie, Lyleyah Suttle; grandchildren, Tanisha (Emilio) Miller, Emilio Suttle; great grandchildren, Evie Jane Miller, Kailio Henry, Tyler Toggie; Step-son, Lorman Ethelbah; Step-daughters, Jolinda Ethelbah, Pearlena Ethelbah, Shanell E. David; sisters, Gloria (Gibson) Pinal Sr., Kathryn (Robert) Talkalai, Diane (Gibson) Aday; brothers, Chris Suttle Sr., Lucero Suttle Sr., Arkie Suttle Sr., Casey (Corinne) Ethelbah Jr., as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his son, Robin W. Suttle; his parents, Robert J. and Elise E. Suttle Sr., and brother, Verlin Suttle.
Family will receive friends at 10 am for Viewing and funeral services will be at 12 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 4007 Glory Way Road, East Fork, Arizona, the Riverside Church with the Rev. James Skidmore, of the Riverside Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteriver Cemetery.
