Rusty Lea Baldwin passed away unexpectedly on October 3,2022 in Snowflake, Arizona.
Rusty was born February 12, 1958, to Patrick Gene Ward and Claire Yvonne Sharp in Springerville, Arizona. In 1978 Rusty met and married the love of her life, David Ray Baldwin, they moved to California where they spent their life together, working, making lifelong friendships, making trips to the sand dunes with 3-wheeler and 4-wheeler club members and friends. Rusty loved the California beaches, especially collecting seashells.
Rusty was a friend to all, second mother to all her nieces and nephews, and her heart was intertwined with so many of her family members. Rusty was a spunky, strong, lover, “larger than life” special spirit to all who were privileged to be a part of her. She was a true, real, and authentic woman who will forever make an impression on those that knew and loved her. Rusty was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her faith and belief in prayer were a strength to all around her. She in her own words was “a card packing Mormon”.
She is survived by her husband David Ray Baldwin, brother Mark R. Ward, Sister Kathy and brother-in-law Kelly Haught, sister Leslie and brother-in-law Paul Whittaker, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, who loved and cherished “Aunt Rust”.
She is preceded in death by her Mother Claire Yvonne “Lady” Beck, Father Patrick Gene Ward, Mother and Father-in-law, Christine and Galen Baldwin.
A funeral will be held in her honor Saturday October 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with a viewing at 9:30-10:30 AM at the Temple View LDS Chapel in Snowflake, Arizona.
