Sally Ann Barricklow Tenney passed from this life in Mesa, Arizona, and was welcomed home by her Savior, Jesus Christ on December 23, 2025. She was born on December 10, 1948, in Barnesville, Ohio and she lived a life full of joy, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Sally’s life was a testament to the kindness she cultivated and the lives she touched during her 77 years on this earth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois Crossett York and Dale Barricklow, her sister, Melanie Barricklow Parker, and her brothers, Mark and Keith Barricklow. She was reunited with many beloved cats who went before her. Sally shared over five incredible decades of marriage with her eternal companion, Sam Tenney. She was a cherished mother to her sons, Ben, Jeff and Kevin Tenney; her daughter, Sheryl Carter; and a foster mother to Julia T. Jessen. She is also survived by her sister, Vicky Barricklow Warner, fourteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband and children adored her for her kind, forgiving and humorous nature. Sally’s spirit will forever resonate in the stories her family shares and the traditions she established. The love her family has for her is deep and carries on through generations. She was able to convince her grandchildren to perform Christmas bell songs each year, a tradition that continued well into their adulthood and on the day of her passing. Sally was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings. Serving as Primary Chorister was one of her most cherished callings, combining her love for music and singing. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
