Samantha Rene (Melton) Henricks, a meticulous old soul, so keen,
Graced this earth one early December, in 1970
A life too shortly lived, but with a heart so grand,
She left us on the first of October, before we all had planned.
Her parents, Lon and Janis, with a love that never ends,
Her siblings, Michael, Brian, and Amanda, on whom she could always depend.
Her sons, Jordan and Nathan, were her moon, sky, and stars,
Her best friend, Scott Henricks, who continued loving her from afar.
In the beauty of creation, she found her true call,
Teaching herself to play music, she inspired us all.
With fingers dancing gracefully, on piano keys she'd play,
Composing her own melodies, paving her own way.
A thrifter with a golden eye for treasures hidden deep,
In music and in secondhand, her passions were not cheap.
Jewelry repair and decorating, a heart aflame with creative fire,
Her beauty, intelligence, and passion are what we will always admire.
"Samantha was a comet, blazing 'cross the sky,
We'll remember her as she was, our memories shall never die."
The dragonflies that she adored, are a symbol of change,
Just like the patterns on their delicate wings, life can rearrange
Sammy’s life was a journey of notes, just like in a song,
In the hearts of her loved ones, she’ll forever belong.
Her legacy, a symphony of love and vibrant tunes,
A life that was a masterpiece, gone from us too soon
An artist with her every breath, her life a canvas vast,
She loved to be a hostess and create memories to last.
Her laughter was a melody that echoed in the air,
A soul so fiercely passionate, with flair beyond compare.
In her wake, she leaves behind an empty space,
A reminder that our world was just her temporary place.
Though Samantha's now ascended, her spirit lingers still,
In every note and every song, her presence we can feel.
She is up there now, Dancing with the Stars,
A silliness and memories, that are forever ours.
Her story's in the sunsets she loved, in the music, in our hearts,
For even in her leaving, she's never truly apart.
Farewell, dear Sammy, with your spirit free and wild,
You've left your mark upon this world, with a grief that’s unreconciled.
When we speak of Sam, let’s speak of her love, her life, her art,
For in her memory and her journey, we all have played a part.
So, let us raise a chorus for the woman we did adore,
Samantha Rene (Melton) Henricks, now and forevermore.
Let’s celebrate our Sammy, with memories so fond,
For in our lives forever, her essence has been donned.
A mother, a daughter, a sister; she also was our friend,
