Sharon Diane Hansen, born on July 13th, 1944, in San Diego, California, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on January 9th, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. She was 79 years old. After Sharon met and fell in love with David Hansen, the two were married in 1962 and eventually settled in Snowflake, Arizona, where she happily remained for the rest of her life. As an involved member of the community, and following her passion for reading and service, Sharon worked for over 20 years as a librarian at both the Snowflake Intermediate School and Northland Pioneer College. Some of her hobbies included playing a variety of board games, crocheting, serving in the temple and loving on her many pets. Although not always easy, Sharon discovered her true calling in life was being a mother to 10 children, a grandmother to 18, and a great grandmother to 12. She is preceded in death by 3 of her children (Kera, Glen, and Adam) as well as her husband (David). Sharon was a mother, grandmother, friend, pioneer, cancer survivor and the greatest example. She was fun, tough, and caring. Her absence has left a hole that can only be filled with hope, and the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, doctrine that Sharon had an unwavering testimony of and taught openly to her family both in word and action. The family wishes to thank all who were a part of her life and those who offered support and friendship, especially in these most recent years. She loved you all dearly. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19th at the Centennial Stake Center, 9th S. 2nd W. Snowflake, Arizona. Viewing: 10 a.m. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Dedication of the grave to follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
