Steven Lance Cocking

Age 54, of Pinetop, Arizona, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

Steve was born in Tucson, Arizona on October 11, 1970, and lived a life of service, love, and generosity. He was a devoted husband to Andrea Cocking and a proud father to his two children, Chase Cocking (wife Hadassah) and Kasey Cocking (fiancée Micah). He was the beloved son of Ruth and David Cocking and a cherished brother to Jeffrey Cocking.

Steve served his country honorably as a Navy veteran and dedicated his career to protecting his community as a law enforcement officer. Being an officer for nearly 30 years, Steve demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to justice, his profession, and the community he served.

Known for his generous heart, kind spirit, and sense of humor, Steve brought warmth and light into the lives of everyone he met. Whether offering a helping hand to a neighbor or sharing a laugh with friends, Steve’s easygoing and loving nature left an unforgettable mark. He was a steadfast and devoted husband, a nurturing and proud father, and a man who truly cared for those around him. His dedication to family and country was unmatched, and his legacy will live on in the lives of the people he touched.

A memorial service and reception will be held to honor Steve’s life on January 11, 2025, at Valley View Southern Baptist Church in Snowflake, Arizona at 11am MST.
