Tyson Henry Obituary

Tyson Ray Henry entered into rest on Wednesday night, November 24, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ.  He was born on September 24, 1986 in Phoenix, AZ to parents Denise Massey and Wilfred Henry Sr. (deceased).  He was a twin brother to Tyrone, who entered into rest last summer.

Tyson grew up in Canyon Day.  He attended Whiteriver Elementary and Canyon Day Jr. High School.  He graduated from Alchesay High School in 2005.  His favorite foods were frybread with beans, corned beef with potatoes and dumplings.  He loved playing his PlayStation games on-line as well as X-Box.  He loved spending time with his nephew, Blake.  He would do anything for him!  He loved to spoil his nephew.

Tyson started taking classes at Northland Pioneer College at the Whiteriver Center and ShowLow Campus, in 2018.  He graduated with a 2-year degree, Associate of general Studies.  He eventually wanted to start on-line with NAU.  His favorite colors were navy, gray and black.

Tyson leaves behind his mom-Denise Massey; nephew-Blake Henry; brothers-Wilfred Henry Jr. and Gifford Henry; aunts-Virginia Aday, Yolanda Walker, Ruby Ann Footracer, Rose Clay, and Valerie Lynn Henry; uncles-Silas Dazen Jr. and Alfred Henry Sr. and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by nephew-“Baby Reese” Henry; twin brother-Tyrone Henry; brother-Jeremy Henry; father-Wilfred Henry Sr.; maternal grandparents-Freddie and Bernice W. Massey; cousin-Edwin Moody and paternal grandparents-Moody and Ruby B. Henry.

There will be a 2 hour viewing on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Silver Creek Mortuary in Pinetop, AZ.  Graveside Services will be on Friday morning at 10:00 am at the Whiteriver Cemetery in Whiteriver, AZ
