Wilson Declay Obituary

Wilson Declay Jr., also known as “Nuts”, entered into rest on Thursday morning, April 29, 2021, at the Whiteriver Indian Health Service.  He was born on March 21, 1970, in Los Angeles, California, to his father, Wilson Declay Sr. and his late mother, Katherine B. Declay of East Fork, Arizona.

Wilson Declay Jr. “Nuts” leaves behind his long-time companion, Lorinda Larzelere and his father, Wilson Declay Sr., his brothers, Andrew Edwards, Jeffrey Edwards, and Arman Declay, his sons: NyJoel and Nytron; and 5 grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and a lot of friends and relatives on the reservation.

Wilson Declay Jr. was a lifelong resident of East Fork, Whiteriver, Arizona.  He liked to hang around his friends and family.  Nuts liked to joke around and make his family and friends laugh all the time.  He was a quiet man, never got mad or see him in a fight.  He was a very nice person to get along with.  Nuts attended East Fork Mission School during his school days and worked for the Tribe at Hawley Lake as a boat attendant.  He was a good customer service worker and also worked at the Hon-dah Casino as a hotel housekeeper.  Wilson Jr. loved to go on outings like joy riding on the back roads and hanging around with friends at the Times Square in Whiteriver.

Wilson Jr. “Nuts” will surely be missed dearly by his love ones especially his kids, father, brothers and grandkids.  We will remember “Nuts” for his laughter of love, smile and a good personality of friendship.  He will be going home to the open arms of his late mother, Katherine B. Declay and his brothers, Martinez Declay Sr., Wilmer Declay, and his heavenly father in heaven, Jesus Christ;

A Graveside Service will be held on May 7, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the East Fork Mission View Cemetery in East Fork, Arizona.   Thank you for the people, friends, relatives whom will and have helped us during this difficult time during our great lost.  God Bless you dearly from the family of the late Wilson Declay Jr.
